The Office of Hydrogen, Fuel Cell, and
Infrastructure Technologies of the
Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
soliciting financial assistance Applications with the objective of
industry efforts and the Presidential Hydrogen Fuel Initiative in
developing a
path to a hydrogen economy. DOE intends to provide financial support under

provisions of the Hydrogen Future Act of 1996.
A Pre-Solicitation meeting will be held 1:00 PM Eastern, June 19, 2003 at
Washington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle NW, Washington, D.C. In
for the meeting, DOE is issuing a draft Statement of Objectives for public
comments and provide the opportunity for the public to submit questions.
obtain a copy of the draft Statement of Objectives, interested parties
access the DOE Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, and Infrastructure Technologies
website at www.eere.energy.gov/hydrogenandfuelcells. The draft Statement
Objectives can also be obtained directly through the Industry Interactive
Procurement System (IIPS) at http://e-center.doe.gov by browsing for
business opportunities and then browsing ?Opportunities by Program Office?
under Financial Assistance, Golden Field Office and then by number
DE-PS36-0393013. Questions and comments must be submitted to DOE at
H2storage@go.doe.gov by the COB June 17, 2003 in order for DOE to answer as

many questions as possible at the June 19 meeting. Questions and comments
submitted by June 17, 2003, will be addressed at the Pre-Solicitation
Questions and comments submitted after June 17, 2003 will be addressed by
and answers posted on the Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, and Infrastructure
Program website. A final Solicitation is anticipated to be issued in July
